Concert tickets for the fam
Hooray! Kath got us tickets to see Huey Lewis and the news at artpark in July. Tickets were only 5 bucks a piece. We're gonna take Diana to see it as well. The kid knows a lot of Huey Lewis songs. I know that's scary right? I think its cool. Finally a concert that isnt a million dollars. Can't wait. Sheryl Crow is coming to Art Park in august. We may try and go see her as well. It should be an awesome summer.

Avengers Assemble!
If free comic book day wasnt enough there was another huge geek moment the same day. We were going to see the Avengers! I'd been reading that comic book series since i was 6. It was my introduction to such heroes as iron man and thor and captain america. For the last 4 years marvel comics has released iron man, iron man 2, thor, captain america and the hulk as solo movies. In each movie we were teased with a program called the avengers initiative. Usually Samuel Jackson would show ud as an agent named Nick Fury in these films, So this year an actual Avengers film finally came out featuring all the heroes listed above plus Hawkeye and The Black Widow. This was pretty much a film i had waited my whole life for. It was so good. So many exciting moments and each hero had his or her time to shine. They also finally got the Hulk right. He had been in 2 horrible solo movies played by 2 different actors. This time he was played by mark Ruffalo who did an awesome job. Kath was able to stay awake the whole time! so right there is the highest compliment you can give a film! Can't wait to see it again and looking forward to seeing where the marvel movie universe goes from here.
Free Comic Book Day 2012
Last Saturday was free comic book day. What is free comic book day? Its a day that occurs at all comic book stores on the first Saturday in May and its a tradition that started 10 years ago. We were lucky enough to be asked to broadcast from the event at Pulp comics. We've been trying to put something together for the last 2 years but something always came up. This year we got it right. We set up outside the store and had a tent for shelter. Our good friend John Bulmer who is an artist had a table in front of us. It was an awesome day. There was a barbeque and cake and of course a selection of free comics. Lots of people in star wars and super hero costumes. At the last minute we decided to bring Diana with us. We werent going to originally because we thought that would be a really long day for her. She was happy to be there and was so good all day. She just read and played. We had an awesome time doing our show. Thanks to pulp comics for having us.

When will they start making sense?
My favorite angry customer quote of the day?
" you people give me nothing but gibble gabble gibble!"
Thank God i only have one more day to go before my days off.

Thank you for being a friend my ass.
Lets start the months blogs off right. Yup you guessed it--more stupid customer complaints. Today an old lady was seriously pissed off at me because i couldn't tell her what time the Golden Girls was on. Every time she went to the lifetime channel they were playing something else. Here's an idea--invest in a tv guide. It's not like i turn my tv on expecting Macgyver to be on. Although that would be awesome. We don't have access to tv listings or outside websites at work so i couldnt tell her. She was actually going to go to a supervisor over it to. I'm sure the Golden Girls wouldn't want her to be angry.
Happy birthday Piano Man
A very happy birthday to the Piano Man--Billy Joel. My first concert ever was in 1984 to see him on The Innocent Man tour. Lot of great tunes. Maybe he'll put out another album someday. I can't believe its been 19 years since the last one, Rock on Mr Joel!
