Happy family day

So for all my American friends who don't know. Family day is a holiday that took effect in Canada about 3 years ago, Its cool because we get paid time and a half at work. I only had to work four hours today and i still get paid for a full day. So I'm just vegging out watching tv with the kid. Kath is at her job right now as we speak.

Last nights show went over pretty smoothly. Nickle sat in. Man i wish that was my day job. I think i have mentioned that about a thousand times now. Someday.

Well gonna go lay on the couch with Diana and Heshy. Barbie swan lake is on now. Talk to you all later

Happy valentines day from King of the geeks!

Hey guys just wanted to say happy valentimes day--or the 8th anniversary of the day i made Kath so mad she threw a bag of rice at me in the grocery store. Oh we also saw weezer that day! Good times

Oh customers why do i hate u so much.

So had an interesting call at work today. SOme inbred hick (big surprise there) called in. His service had been disconnected as he hadnt paid a bill in about 5 months. He got mad because i wouldnt connect him to our reconnection department before he made a payment. He was also mad about a possible reconnection fee. I couldnt find the cost of a reconnection so gave him an approximate figure. Yeah i think he called me mother fucker a good five times after that. I was thinking to myself well i have cable service and you don't. He then said my customer skills sucked. I told him so did his swearing He then said he was gonna come down to the office and beat the crap out of me. Yeah i then just blurted out
"good luck with that I'm in Canada. " Yeah probably shouldnt have done that. We're not really suppossed to tell the customers where we are located. He then hung up.

Anyhow I'm home now and looking forward to spending time with my family. Have a great night

Romance show weird experience #2

So later on in the day there was a pole dancing demonstration on the stage. It was by a lady who runs a gym somewhere and teaches pole dancing. I helped lift the pole onto the stage. The dancer kind of looked like a really muscular Sheryl Crow. Ok i will be blunt she was hot. Everyone in our booth- females included-thought so. She sure could work a pole. Ha ha. Anyhow she did her demonstration and we all watched in awe. ANyhow later on we helped take her pole apart and load it in her van. So why was this a weird experience for me? Rob said she was asking about me and it semed she thought i was hot. So lets think about this for a minute. Really attractive fit instructer being attracted to out of shape guy with a grey beard and a gut. How does that make sense? Maybe on Bizarro world. Even Kath seemed impressed that fit Sheryl Crow was asking about me. My wife is the coolest!! Anyhow that's my strange story. Discuss

weird things that happenned to me at the romance show part 1

So last Sunday Kath and I and the train rek gang went to the Niagara Romance show. Rob was going to be doing announcing and promoting the radio station. He asked me to come along to help and then Kath got the day off as well. So we got there early in the morning and set up the speakers and equipment. It didn't take to long to set up. Anyhow this brings me to weird experience of the day number one. On my way back in from a bathroom break a lady selling avon at a booth called out my name. I didnt recognize her. I thought she was my ex crazy landlady. Here's the conversation that followed

"Do you know who i am?."
"no sorry."
"I'm your fathers 2nd wife."

Ok a little back story here. In the early 90's my father and mother got divorced. My father had cheated on her. I havent seen or spoken to my father since 1995. He had picked me up while i was waiting for a bus. I had given him my telephone number and he never used it. I never called him either. Ok recap done back to the action.

"your father's not doing well. He's going in for a colonascopy. I don't know why you don't talk to him."


Now i didn't know what to say. I was totally blind sided. I'd never met the woman before and i was trying to figure out how she knew me.


"i don't know why you've been feuding all these years."
I haven't been feuding with my father. He chose to not have any contact with me or my sister. Su has actually gotten ahold of him a few times in recent years but it was her that did all the work.

"maybe you should get a hold of him. I would really like to get to know you and your wife."

Yeah that would be swell. We can be best buds and hang out together. Maybe we can braid each others hair.

So i finally pipe up after being in shock.
"look i will shoot him an email. I can get the address from Su. That's about all i can promise."

"yes su should have it she's been over a few times to the house."

Yup Su told me all about those visits. She said it was awkward for her. My sister is outgoing. I am not. I could imagine it being 100 times worse for me.

With that i went back to our booth. Needless to say i didnt use the bathroom for the rest of the day. I just sat there for awhile eating cookies. As of this writing i haven't emailed my father. I'm trying to think of something to send. Definately gonna keep it light. I'm sure i'll think of something

Why do days off have to end?

Hey there just reporting to you live from my second day off. Its been pretty relaxing these last couple of days. I'm still a little bit sick but i have a feeling that will soon pass. Just hanging out with Yammy having some lunch. Kath is at work. That sucks. I really miss her today. Looking forward to later. Gonna eat hamburgers and watch a special 2 hour Smallville movie. The movie is about Clark meeting the heroes of the Justicee Society and its written by my favorite writer--Geoff Johns. Oh and Michael Shanks from Stargate is playing Hawkman! Very exciting stuff.

I don't wanna go back to work tomorrow. Its been a rough week. It's been busy as hell. Oh and i do love when the customers threaten to get me fired. Good times. Cleaning the house today is actually better than that crap. If i can get through tomorrow Sunday should be fun. Gonna help Rob out atthe Niagara romance and sex show and then of course we'll be doing a live show Sunday night. Man have i mentioned yet today that i wish the show was our day job?

Well gonna get back to house work and maybe laying on the ouch for a bit. Talk to you soon

What a shitty day. It was busy all day at work. One lady threatened to get me fired. I had cramps all day (thanks last nights chili). Its snowing pretty hard outside and i still have a bit of a cold. None of that matters. The 6th and final season of Lost starts tonight! Kath and i just re watched season 5 and we are both pretty pumped up! Can't wait until Kath gets home to watch it with me. Ah the little things that get me through the day!
