See ya August

So its the last day of August. What a mixed bag today was. I'll start with the weird. I came home for lunch and my neighbour yje dark knight decided to play 20 questions with me. He asks me how long I've lived here and how long it took to fix up our place when we moved in and when the complex manager will be in again. I think he's up to something. This is after all the douche that thinks i sell drugs in the park and that i have a wild kingdom in my backyard. Time will tell i guess. I don't trust him.

The day ended on a great note. I found out i am back on my previous manager Erin's team. I'm so happy. I may actually pass a few qualitys again. She is so fair and nice. I promised her i wouldnt let her down.

Sitting here waiting for Kath and yammy to come home. I'm not a fan of this late shift. I know it will be best for the family once Diana starts school next wek. I have to give credit to Kath for re arranging her schedule so she can take Diana to and from school every day. I have the best family ever.

Happy anniversary

So just wanted to wish Kathy a happy anniversary. Ten years ago on this date in 1999 we began chatting online. Two weeks later we met and the rest is history. So thank you Kathy for being with me this last decade and for making a grumpy bastard like myself happy. I hope we have many more decades together. I love You.

Fan expo 2009.

Ladies and gentleman i give you my update on fan expo convention 2009. The day finally arrived yesterday. This year Kath couldnt go due to some knee problems. I decided to take my nephew Russell as i have been wanting him to go for a couple of years now. Rob was nice enough to drive. He picked me up at 7 in the morning. At the time i thought it was too early but in the end Rob was a god for wanting to go at that time. We made a pit stop at his place to pick up Nickle and some new friends Fortch and Rachel. After another quick stop to Tim Hortons we were on our way.Spent the trip chatting with Nickle and Rachel and having donuts and pop.

We arrived in Toronto at 9 am about an hour before the doors opened. There was already a gigantic lineup. Hmm maybe Rob wasnt crazy after all. Rob was kind enough to get my ticket as payment for helping him with the radio show a couple of weeks back. We got in line and saw various people dressed like Stargate characters and Black Canary and Spiderman. We nerded out with stargate trivia and whatnot while waiting to get in. Soon we got inside and i was like a kid in a candy store. To me the con is like my Christmas.

First we went to check out the celebrities signing autographs. We noticed there was a line up already that stretched for miles to see Bruce Campbell. Too bad for them. We later found out that he was being a total douche. He decided that he would only meet with the first 200 fans and then he was done. There was more than 200 people waiting for him. Should have known he would be an ass. After all he was the one who refused Peter Parker entry into the play in Spiderman 2. We got in line to meet Beau Bridges, He played General Landry on stargate. Funny enough i couldnt stand him before Stargate and he used to be my least favorite Bridges brother. He was pretty nice. He signed a photo for Rob and Nickle. Rob got him to say "open the iris" for me. Yes we are nerds. Funny thing about his booth,he had at least 3 photos from the one episode of Desperate housewives he had appearred on. Made me laugh. He bid us farewell by saying "keep that iris open." We took a look around at Spock and LandoCalrissian but didnt feel like waiting in line for them. We also saw a booth for the soup nazi from seinfeld. Good thing that on the sign in front of his booth it said "no soup for you." Otherwise i may never of known it was him. Leslie Nielson walked past us at one point. We later found out he was leaving because he was really sick. Poor guy. Surely it couldnt be true? It was and dont call me shirley!


Next we headed to the dc comics booth. Dc is a huge publisher who puts out such comics as Sperman and Batman. Funny enough this was the first year they had a booth set up at the con. When we got to the booth they were literally giving away everything but the kitchen sink. They gave away tons of comics and buttons and stickers and posters. I got some cool posters and supergirl tatoos for Diana and Wonder Woman tatoos and buttons for Kath. Russell was excited seeing all the free stuff and i have a feeling he may start reading comics due to this. It was amazing. In comparrison the Marvel Comics booth was giving away a comic and a poster.

Also on display was a cycle from the upcoming Tron sequel. Rob and i got out pics taken with it. By this time our bags felt like lead due to all the free swag so we went and dumped it off at the van. Came back in just in time to get light up Green Lantern rings! So cool.

I have to say there were lots of awesome costumes there this year. There were more super hero costumes there then in previous years. There were costumes of everyone from Wonder Woman to Green Lantern to the whole Batman family. I got my pic taken with some of them. Russell was a good photographer. Unfortunately he's a teenage boy so there are justa few pictures of super females behinds. I gotta say though that Russell was awesome. He was really well behaved and was really cool to have there. I would so go with him again. I got a little sad anythime i saw a kid dressed up. I missed Diana being there.

Around 2:30 Russell and i separated from the group. I wanted to look through some comic book bins and didnt want to bore the others. I found some cool cheap back issues and even finnished off 3 old series i was collecting. I found an awesome trade paperback collection of Superfriends comics for Diana. I also decided that since Russell was being cool i wanted to get him something to remember the day. I picked up the first 2 issues of Blackest Night for him. If he likes it i will get him the rest of the series.

We stayed until the place was closing up at 6. What a great day. We went out into the main lobby to take some more pictures and I ran into my friend Adriel. I found out he got there at 10 and the line was so bad by then that it took another 2 hours for him to get in. So Rob you made a wise descion getting us there that early! Took a few pics with Adriel and the had to leave. Drove home to St Catharines and went back to our place to order pizza and hang out. Had an awesome day with awesome friends. I want to say thanks again to Rob and Nickle for going and for driving. Only 52 more weeks until the next one! Oh and its back to work tomorrow. Yucky.

A busy Friday for the Stewart family

Friday was day 2 of my 4 days off extravaganza. We went to a used book store to try and sell some old books i no longer read. We went to a book store on queen street. We got in there and it was a cool little shop. Books piled to the ceiling everywhere. The fire marshall must visit there all the time. The owner was really nice. I couldnt believe the books she bought and which ones she turned dow, She turned down all the nice Star Trek hard cover books but bought the Howard the Duck novel amd the making of Miami Vice. I'm not judging. The money went towards this weeks comics. Our next stop was the comic book store and i purchased the new Kevin Smith comic. That Silent Bob sure is an awesome writer. We did groceries after that, What wa awesome about groceries was that we practically needed nothing. Kath did such an awesome job last time that we really stocked up. Nice work Kath. Following that we went to pick up our friend John from work. We shot the shit for a bit and then drove to my sisters house. By the way i am getting old. Was watchin my nephew Russell playing a really cool star wars game and fell asleep in the chair. I just completely passed out. Was not pretty. SOon after that we packed up the car with Russell to come home. Russell stayed over as he was going with me to the convention on Saturday. The only thing that kinda sucked was Kath had to rush out to work at 9 pm. She had to work 9 to 1 am. Got home and called Nickle. Rob wanted to pick me up at 10 to 7 in the morning to go to the con. At first ti thought he was crazy. Turns out he was a genius. I'll tell why when i blog about the con. Went to bed fairly early and barely remember Kath coming home after work. All and all a busy but cool Friday.

Darrin Stevens was mentally challenged

So Kath and Diana have been watching re runs of the show Bewitched. For those of you who don't remember the show is about a witch named Samantha who marries a mortal named Darrin. Here's the part i don't understand. Darrin was pissed off everytime Samantha used her witch powers? Seriously? Darrin what was wrong with you? I would love if Kath had witch powers. She could magically make piles of money appear for one thing. I could quit my lousy job. Darrin worked in a shitty job. His boss Larry Tate fired him almost every episode. Hmm what else could i get a witch wife to do? Want to take a vacation? A snap of your finger would get you there immediately. Hmm i feel like eating a cake. Poof! A cake magically appears. Something was wrong with Darrin man. If my wife was a witch i'd be living it up with an endless supply of money and cake. I guess thats why i don't write tv shows.

I survived the shift from hell!

I made it through my last shift before 4 days off . Barely. The customers were bitchier than ever. One guy wanted to report me for telling him the date his bill was due. Um hello thats kind of my job. No one seemed to want to listen and i found myself having to repeat things over and over again, It got really frustrating. Sitting in that "criminal" section isnt helping. I felt mad all afternoon. Trying to stay positive. Trying to think happy thoughts, baseball, pizza, boobies. Thank you Homer J Simpson for that quote. Just trying to relax. Hasnt sunk in yet that i have 4 days off. Or that on Saturday I'm going to the comic book convention. Ok I'm home. i have to let the bad day go and leave it in the past. Deep breath. I think i need to go watch some wkrp. I can't wait for the family to et home. I need a big hug

Goodbye to the greatest discount of the summer

So the end of summer is rapidly approaching and there's one thing i will miss a lot. The weather? Not a chance? I will of course miss dollar drinks at macdonalds. All summer any size drink at macdonalds was a dollar! That ends next week. Man had some good times with those dollar drinks. Almost every thursday this summer Diana and i would walk there. She would have a sundae,i would have a dollar pop. We bonded a lot on those days. Oh dollar drinks how i will miss you. We had some good times. They're never coming back. No more dollar pop make Jay a sad panda. Wow i must be seriously over tired today or the customers are getting to me. I'm lamenting the loss of a dollar pop.

Pack My bags i'm going on a guilt trip

So ocasionaly i get people who call and for some reason tell me all their personal problems. Stuff i would never share with a stranger never mind a cable tv representative. So i get a call today from a lady who has had service since april and has paid a total of 30.00$. At this point she owes almost a grand and about 600.00 of that is due in a day to stop services from getting cut off. At first i was simpathetic. I felt bad and was about to give her an extention to pay the bill. Then i notice she has had 3 extentions this month already. We're only suppossed to give one extention a month. I try and tell her this and she starts telling me about relatives that have died and she was out of work and she has 6 kids that will apparently go nuts and commit murder if their tv is turned off. I was sure she was going to tell me an asteroid hit her house and then I don't wanna miss a thing by Aerosmith popped into my head. To be clear at no moment did i act like a jerk to the lady and i tried really hard to be understanding. She then freaked out on me and took down my information because i was the only person that refused her an extention. Apparently i wasnt very understanding to the situation. She said that we had a commercial on tv that states she can get as many extentions as she requests and we are never allowed to turn her down. Man would i love to see that commercial. If thats true then any customer can call in and request a million extentions and we would never get paid by everyone. You know why i think a commercial like that doesnt exist? Because there isnt a commercial like that! She wanted another representative because she bet me that they were going to give her an extention. I wish i would have taken that bet because the next 2 people turned her down. So take that miss "i'm gonna report Jay for doing his job."

Jay:Starship Trooper and brownie eating adventurer

Hi there and welcome to Sunday. I'm sweating like a pig. So far today i have cleaned a litterbox and a toilet. I also weeded the garden out front. It wasnt an easy task. There were about 4 of those big ass furry bees buzzing my head. I knocked one down and squished the hell out of it. I felt like a starship trooper! Gonna get all my chores finnished and get yammy bathed and dressed and then gonna chill out the rest of the day. I got my first good nights sleep in about 2 weeks so i feel great today.

Rob and Nickle came by last night. They brought me a slurpee which rocked. Yeah im scared to step on a scale. I ate brownies and chips last night. Well i had to celebrate losing 21 pounds after all. Anyhow I'm glad Kath is good at meeting new people and making new friends. If that wasnt the case we probably wouldnt know Rob and Nickle. I suck at meeting people. Yup 40 years old and shy--not a good combo. Anyhow really glad we're friends with them as they are good people. Rob and i talked movies and how we actually like some bad ones. He made me want to go to the basement where the vcr is and watch Hudson Hawk. Y'know all these years later i still dont get why that movie bombed. A Bruce Willis movie with action and wisecracks. I love that movie. I even have 2 songs from the soundtrack on my i pod! I would rank that movie in Bruce willis' top 5. Right up there with Die hard, The Last Boy scout and The sixth sense and Armageddon.

Just finnishing up some laundry and then headed to the park with yammy. We watched Batman team up not to long ago. Diana didnt like the end cause Red Tornado cried. My sensitive super hero loving daughter! Gonna grill some burgers soon as well. Can't wait for Kath to come home. Anyhow thats it for today. Have a nice Sunday everybody!

Saturday-cartoonless but stil ugh

Saturday was a mixed bag at work today. On the plus side my manager wasnt there. This meant no stupid cartoons in the dark for a change! It was nice being able to see on a Saturday for a change! I won't be there next Saturday. I'm sure i won't miss the cartoons then either. I'm old my eyes can't take it.

So last week we started taking calls from a new market. Last saturday all the calls were awesome. I finally thought we got a market where all the customers were nice. Only took a week for me to change my mind. Man everyone that called frome there were complete assholes. I kept saying out loud--"but they were cool last week!" It made for a long ass day. I kept telling myself "calm down,you only have to work 3 days next week and Saturday is the convention." Yeah it didnt help much. Oh man
and remember the annoying, nerdy kid who never shut his mouth? I used to sit by him and complain in earlier blogs. He's still there! He was close to getting fired in January. He's still frigging there! I had to sit next to him today and it all came back. What an annoying ass. He wouldnt stop yapping and even argued with managers who were trying to help him. I just kept reading Green Arrow comics trying to ignore him. Yes early 90's violent as hell Green Arrow comics put my mind in a nice place to escape the idiots constant whining. Thank you early 90's violent,maskless,doesnt fight super villains, sometimes doesnt even wear a costume,kills everyone Oliver Queen.


Just waiting for Kath to get home. I guess she's working overtime. I miss her and yammy. Can't wait to hang out with them and just veg out and watch tv. Oh and eat Buffalo wing dip! Tomorrow is another awesome day of hanging out with Diana. I can't wait. Oh Kath just messaged and she's on her way home. We may even see Nickle and Rob tonight! Cool! Anyhow thats about it for now. Awesome evening with Kath and Spidergirl

I had a fairly descent day today. I worked an extra shift for my friend Deb. I didnt mind because it will be extra spending money at the convention. I can't believe its only 8 days away! After work we went to the comic book store and had an amazing laasagna dinner. Kath is definately the best cook of all time. I feel fairly happy tonight. We started watching the movie Starship Troopers. I hadnt seen that film since it came out in 1997. I forgot how gross and violent it was. At least Doogie Howser is a scientist and Denice Richards is a pilot. Yeah thats believable. I'm looking forward to finally sleeping in tomorrow and just hanging out with Diana. Man how proud of her am i? Yesterday when Kath took her shopping she picked out iron man and spiderman socks! Today she got dressed herself. She picked out a spiderman shurt that until a couple weeks ago she hated and a skirt and spiderman socks. She is so awesome!

Holy crap! Boss Hogg no more!

I stepped on the scale today and found that i met my goal! I have lost 21 pounds this summer! So i look less like Boss Hogg then i did 2 months ago. I still have a gut but now my pants arent tight. I think I'm going to keep going and hopefully get down another 10 or 15 pounds. That would take me down to about 205 pounds. I haven't been the weight since about my mid 20's. I'm very excited. Soon i will be fitting into all my old concert t shirts! I can't wait to be a slender reed.

Gosh Rob and Nickle are swell

Howdy gang! Just home on a stupid hour lunch break. Work is sucking large today. Oh well what can you do i guess. Nickle and Rob came by last night. Rob was really happy with the job i did on Sunday. He went so far as to offer me more work in a month or two. I'm so there dude. Man he even liked the music i played on the air. Made me feel good. Next time who knows i may even talk a bit. Nickle had actually been featured on another radio show the other night called "talk nerdy to me." She was awesome. She defended Green Arrow. Made me proud. I was actually inspired to dig out my late 80's/early 90's green arrow series and read it at work today.

Got some kinda/sorta good news at work. My old manager Erin asked me my hours and is hoping to bring me back on her team. Hopefully this comes true becasue i cant stand the team i'm on now, Erin is very cool and fair with marking our qualities. So fingers crossed. It would be cool to have one less thing to worry about. Anyhow gonna get going Take care everybody!!

say it ain't so!

Man i just heard some devastating news. I don't know how i'll ever be able to move past this. My world is crumbling around me. I just heard that Brooks and Dunn broke up. Yes the boot scooting boogie duo is over. It hurts so much that Brooks and Dunn are done. Its going to be a sleepless night. I'd better hide the sleeping pills and razor blades.

Finally my college education helps with a job!

Yesterday i did something cool. Rob and some friends run an online radio station from his house. They had to be in Toronto to do a remote and asked me if i could run things from here and put them on the radio when they called in. Having taken a radio course in the early 90's this seemed like a cool idea. We went to Rob and Nickle's house Friday night for a quick run through. Rob showed me how to get them on the air and how to put songs on the station. Sunday i packed up Yammy and put her in her wagon and pulled her to the radio station aka Rob's house. Only took about 35 minutes to get there and i lost a pound doing the walk! Anyhow got there before one and the music was already up and running. I waited for Rob to call in and disaster struck, Had some technical difficulties at the beginning. He called via skype and i clicked on what i had to but 2 things were wrong. First of a button wasnt pressed that was suppossed to be pressed and they were coming up with an unknown name. I kept getting a message about unknown name not being accepted. I started to panic and tried to call Nickle's cell phone but couldnt getthrough. Thankfully Rob messaged me on msn and walked me through it. Once everything was ready to go i relaxed a lot. I even programmed some music. Rob has quite the descent music collection. I even played the theme from the ROckford files! Everything went off without a hitch and managed to get everybody on the air. It was actually a lot of fun. Also i was offerred money like a real job so that was nice as well. Rob even said nice things about me on the radio. Rob if you ever need help again i would be more than happy to lend a hand. Even if you guys arent on location and needed some help with the show. Just give a shout and i will be there.

Diana was good for the whole day as well. She wanted to hang out with me in the studio and didnt want to watch tv or anything. I packed her a lunch and snacks and she had them done within 2 hous. Luckilly Uncle Rob showed us his smarties stash! Diana even yelled out that"Rob is awesome!"Anyhow it was a lot of fun and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Heeb and Jay together again at last

Thursday as you all know i got to see my friend Scott for the first time in a decade. It was awesome. Totally got my mind off of all my problems. Scott and his wife Miriam and 3 daughters came over yesterday. Scott and Miriam havent changed a bit. They said the same thing about me. Thanks for ignoring the grey beard and large fore head guys!We chatted for a bit. I'm really happy that Kath finally met Scott. Scott said he approves of her! His daughters are really nice as well. Man it was awesome talking about happy times in high school and what not. After a while we went to my sisters for a barbeque. We were soon joined by my mom and my friend Andrea. Scott actually introduced me to Andrea so i thought it was fitting that she be there. Rach and John were going to come but their daughter Becca wasnt feeling well. Hope you are feeling better Becca. We love ya! The visit was great and we had an awesome dinner of hot dogs and chili and salads. One thing that sucked was our camera has died on us. We rented a camera for the occasion and it didnt have a memory card. What is the point then? Luckilly Su took a lot of picures as did Miriam. It seemed like just as we were starting to really catch up-the day was over. I also got to see Scott and Miriam the next day at Tim Hortons. It was really sad seeing them leave. I'm hoping we get to see each other before Diana is in high school. it was a nice visit and definately the highlight of my year. t least we made some new johes about Mr Maker and Mork and Mindy. Scott summed it up best--a day and a half visit after 10 years sucks. We both wish it could have been longer.

And then there were 2 amigos

Wow. The last couple of days have seemed like the longest days of my life. I felt like Jack Bauer in a way. Monday especially was very shitty. First of all i got to work Monday and found out that i have to sit in a "special" row with some other people for a month. I was just getting used to the last row i got put in. So my manager made it seem like this was an exciting experiment in which they will take a group of people and everyday a new manager will grade us. Seemed like a cool idea-until i found out that in reality the group of us had horrible grades in July so now we have to sit in a "criminal" section for a month. Yay. SO far after 3 days sitting there it proves to me that other managers arent as nit picky with the marks. Oh well. Only 3 more weeks to go! So between that and my stupid neighbot thinking theres all kinds of wild life fornicating in my back yard what else could go wrong?

At lunchtime i popped the button right off my dress pants. I don't know how to sew and the only other available pants i had was my jeans. So it was either go back to work with my pants around my ankles or wear jeans and hope i didnt get sent home. At my work you are allowed to wear jeans as long as you pay 15 dollars a month. Needless to say i don't pay 15 dollars a month. Anyhow long story short i didnt get caught.

Other minor things that werent so cool included: no over time hours being offerred this week. I was hoping to get at least 4 more hours in. I'm still trying to raise some dough for the convention. Also what doesnt help is when i get sent home for an hour lunch instead of the regular half an hour.

The major thing pissing me off this week. After 2 years it was finally confirmed-Colin and I are no longer friends. After 25 years of friendship he has decided he wants nothing to do with me. Without getting in to a lot of details-a couple of years ago he told me a few things(while stoned) that i didnt need to know. Things that would jeopordize his marriage.I was worried about him and told kath about the conversation. A few weeks later Kath was talking to another friend and the colin conversation slipped out. Little did we know that in the past Colin had pulled the same thing. Our mutual friend made a vow to colin's wife that if she ever heard about any future wrong doings she would be informed. My friend told me she was going to tell Colin's wife. I understood why she felt she had to tell the wife but because this involved me i tried to talk her out of it. I couldnt and she told the wife. She didnt throw me under the bus or anything and totally told them i was blame free. I never heard from him after that. I tried to email a few times over the last 2 years with no response until this week. So i finally hear from him this week and he blames me for almost getting divorced. That is sucha frigging cop out. The sad thing is I'm not even sad. I'm really angry but no tears shed on this end. Oh well.

So I had a few bad days but stay tuned i will have a happy blog next.

Superman,broken wrists and asshole neighbours who think theres a zoo in your back yard

Man its Sunday and wouldnt you know it on my only day to sleep in i woke up early. Then Diana woke up early. Oh well. It gave me a chance to try and clean my house so Scott doesnt think I'm a slob. Man I cleaned for about 4 hours and theres still so much to do. I have Superman the movie on in the background. Man for a movie made in 1978 it still holds up today. Diana thought it was hillarious when baby Superman lifted a truck. Speaking of Superman i remembered another tale of teenage Jay and the three amigos.


So i already mentioned the Wham video we shot. In film and satire class we did a take off on Superman. Colin was the man of steel, i was a villain with a paper bag on my head and perry white and Scott was the nararator. We hired assorted friends to play lois lane and other characters.

It was chock full of special effects. For the flying scenes Colin would lay on a desk and someone would flap his cape while we played the superman theme on a cassette player. It was top of the line stuff.

Nt favorite moment of filming? Well one day we broke for lunch. Colin refused to change out of his Superman costume to go to the cafeteria. I thought for sure one of our preppy school mates would have said something to provoke him. He's a big guy and not one person made a comment to him about it. I thought that was pretty cool. We got a pretty descent mark on the project. I loved any assignment we could film. It was awesome.

So its later in the evening. What a day. I almost fell down the stairs. That sucked. I landed on my wrist hard and now it hurts like a son of a bitch. Then we spoke to my stupid neighbour. So this is the guy that claimed mice were hiding in our weeds. Now he says we have a whole plethora of possums in our back yard again. Whatever. Next he's going to see a giraffe in our yard. I as out there twice today and looked around our yard and saw no rodents, The weeds arent that big and theres no place for a possum to hide back there. What the hell man. Why do you keep looking in our yard? Next time you talk to us can you maybe put on a shirt? Your man boobs were distracting. I'm pissed. Theres nothing in our yard. What is he smoking?

Scott called me tonight! We're definately on for a barbeque at my sisters house on Thursday. John and Rach and my friend Andrea are also coming. I am so happy. I only have to get through 3 shitty work shifts. Well 4 if i can pick up an extra shift thursday morning. Fingers crossed.

Anyhow its getting late so gonna hit the old hay. Talk to you tomorrow kids.

Kathy Jo rules

So i did my second extra shift. Man i miss sleeping in. It'll be worth it come the end of august. Hoping to work extra shifts for the next three Thursdays. Has been a pretty good day so far. Kath and Diana picked me up after work and we went to the comic book store. We actually had a bit of extra cash so i was able to get four of my books. Thanks Kath. You are the best. Came home and spent the day with Diana. I only fell asleep twice! Went to the park for a bit and played catch. There were a lot of bees there again. i told Diana as long as she was nice to the bees then they wouldnt bother her. SO then she started saying hi to the bees and asking him hw they were doing. It was cute. We just made some english muffin pizzas. She put the cheese and pepporoni on. She is a helper.

Kath will be home soon. We started watching the Angelina Jolie movie Wanted. So far its really cool. But we both fell asleep last night trying to watch it. We will try again tonight. One more shift tomorrow and then i can sleep in on Sunday. I can't wait. Boy am i old. I can't wait to see what wonderful movies my work puts up on the big scren tomorrow. Damn pooping Eagles!

Well i did my first extra shift today. It wasnt too bad. I guess if i only have to be there 3 hours instead of 10 i don't mind. Was a pretty easy shift. I came home and saw Kath for half an hour before she left for work. I threw a load of laundry in and cleaned Hesh's litter box and tried to watch a bit of tv. I've already fallen asleep once. The lack of sleep is starting to catch up with me. It'll be worth it when i'm shaking the soup nazi's hand at the convention. I'm really hoping to get my picture taken with Beau Bridges and Rob and Nicole. We are stargate nerds!

Just got back to the park. Diana wanted to come home after 5 minutes. There was a lot of bees though. All my chores are done and just cooking dinner for the little rug rat. I'm pretty tired and i bet as soon as i sit on the couch im gonna fall asleep. Oh well. If i stay awake were gonna practice some bike riding after dinner. When Kath gets home were gonna hit the grocery store and buy some lettuce. We're going to have the chip less nachos tonight. This low carbing isnt so bad.

Funny Diana quote. We were watching some animals on tv last night and there were some eagles. The bird not the band. Diana said she was scared of Eagles. I asked why and she said because they poop on your head. She then told us an eagle pooped on her babysitter. We later found out it was a seagull that did the pooping. Ah kids. I love her and she's funny. Right now she's sitting on an upside down dora table. She says shes on a rocketship and she's headed back to earth! Its moments like this that help me get through the day. Extra hours? Yes I am outta my mind.

Man am i gonna be tired this week. I picked up an extra 6 hours of work this week and hopefully more next week. I couldnt be happier. This puts me one step closer to going to the convention. Whats an extra couple of shifts of being yelled at.I'm gonna meet the soup nazi. Fingers crossed.


Sunday we went and saw the movie Funny People. I love Kath's work. They give her gift certificates for doing a good job. Gift certifivates that allow you to go to a movie for free. So the movie was awesome and I'm going to say its the best movie I've seen this year. It's probably my favorite Adam Sandler movie since the Wedding Singer. It was a nice movie and cheered me up for a couple of hours. Judd Apatow rules!

The weight loss continues to go well. I'm down 16 pounds now. I have 5 more to go to reach my original goal. I will probably continue from there. Someday i will lose the gut. That is the dream.

Saw my friend Stacey for literally 5 seconds yesterday. It had been like a billion years since we last talked. Of course it was massively busy and i barely got a hi out. She wished me a happy birthday. It was very sweet of her.

Email confirmation from Scott that he is in Canada. He's spending the first week with his relatives in Whitby and i will see him next week, Its gonna be a blasty blast.

Well gonna go watch some tv and play some star wars lego on the wii. Kath and Diana will be home soon. I can't wait to see them. Have a great night everyone

Well August is here and I for one am glad July is behind us. I have a feeling August is going to be better. In July we ran into some trouble which involved me borrowing money from my family but i should have that paid off on my next paycheck. I also have a few ideas on actually raising money for the comic book convention. It may have to involve me working extra shifts at work. You gotta do what ya gotta do if you wanna meet Lando Calrissian, I actually do have my admission money but it would be nice to have a few bucks to spend there. I just have a good feeling this is gonna turn out to be a good month for the Stewart family. I'm also going to be seeing one of my best friends for the first time in 10 years. Thats huge. So all i have to say is thank you God for letting me get out of the hellish month of July and please let August be better. Thats it for now. Hope all my friends and familly have a wonderful August
