Help me energy drink

Having a pretty good day. Got up at 8 to take Diana to school. At 10 Rob picked me up for groceries in america. Here it is 3:30 and i've been up ever since. The great news is i start work at 6;30 and go til 3 in the morning. Yeah I'm screwed. I wanna go nap but i'm afraid of not waking up on time. Kath is bringing me home an energy drink on my lunch break. That'll be at 10 so hopefully that will keep me going til 3am. Probably not though. Hope i dont fall asleep at my desk. They might frown on that.

Bye bye September

Wow September is almost over. I guess it was an ok month. Who knows-- i slept a lot. Looking forward to October. I have the con in Buffalo on oct 16th and of course there's halloween. If i get my way with the shift bid it should be a kick ass month. As long as i get sleep that is.

Hooray its Thursday

The week is almost over and it hasn't been to bad. I never got in trouble for that horrible call last week and the shift bid has been postponed for a couple of weeks. Everyone in my row including me were told we had to go sit somewhere else. That sort of sucked. I liked the computer i was sitting at. Oh well. Sleep continues to be my best friend and i will nap any chance i get. Yup I am an old man. I have become a huge fan of pizza pockets this week. They're quick to make and delicious. Just said good day to my family and I'm headed into another wonderful shift. Tomorrow i work til 3 in the morning. Sleep isnt going to like me. Gotta run. Talk to you all soon.

Hooray its work time again

I just ate a bunch of burger king and now i want to go back to sleep. I am old. Oh well off to work in an hour. Hooray! I had a nice afternoon with Kath but alas its all over. Its like a prison sentence.

Monday: is the week over yet?

Once again an excellent weekend has come to an end. It was everything i wanted in a weekend. Lots of sleep and a flea market adventure capped off by another excellent episode of get your geek on. There were so many people in our interactive chat room this week. It was so cool. My friend Andrea was listening to the show for the first time. Thought that was pretty cool. Now I'm in the middle of getting ready for work. It sucks. I'm hoping that bad call from last wednesday is a distant memory and it doesnt come back to haunt me. Also we will probably get the forms for the new shift bid this week. Not looking forward to that. Can i just skip ahead to the end of the week? That would be nice.

High times

So just thought I'd share my conversation with the biggest drunk in Vancouver. Friday night i got a call from a guy wanting an extention. I immediately felt dread becasue we don't grant payment extentions and i had a feeling it would go to a supervisor. I saw that he had already paid the bill and didn't owe anything until the end of October. This is when i discovered he was out of it. Some quotes that followed:

"i don't know if you can tell but i'm pretty high."

" Did you hear that R.E.M. broke up?" Then he proceeded to sing Everybody Hurts at the top of his lungs.

" Are you from Vancouver? I fucking love Nickleback !"

"Hey Jason guess what i did? I took my shirt off here at the bus stop. I'm half naked.Yeah!!!!"

then i hear him yelling at someone

" Hey baby!! What's up? Jason she don't wanna have anything to do with me cause I'm so fucking old!!"

he also read half a poem to me. It was kind of entertaining. Kath hopes thats the call that my supervisor marks this week, That would be funny.

Everybody's working for the weekend!

Hooray! I made it through the week! Yeah baby! Nothing o do this weekend but sleep and grill and work on the show. By the way there's a brand new get your geek airing this sunday night from 8-10! i'm in a pretty good mood. Work was half descent tonight. It rained a lot and i got soaked but other than that my day sure was swell. Now its off to bed with visions of no work dncing in my head

Anyone wanna work for me today?

Man i don't want to go in to work today. Any of my friends want to go in for me? I'll give u a dolla. I'll be your best friend. I have a bad feeling i'm going to be getting into trouble today. I think my manager over heard me telling a customer off and i think he might be grading me on the call. So fingers crossed i don't get written up. I'll post about it later as an update

3 am again

Man remember that shift last month where i agreed to work until 3 in the morning? I remember during that shift we all vowed to never work till 3 again. Well they asked us to work until 3 in the morning on september 30th. We all agreed to do it again. Oh well at least its extra money and it will be dead at the end of the night. 3 in the morning though. I can barely stay awake as it is now. I'm looking forward to working that shift. Not.

Did i mention dealers suck?

Halfway through the week. Thank God. Yesterday sucked. I had so many people wanting to talk to supervisors. This included a dealer who called in with a customer on the other line. The customer was cool. The dealer was an ass. First of all his name was Sheldon and he was trying to hard to be a tough guy. I fixed the customers problem--no thanks to the dealer. Anytime i would suggest a solution the guy would call me out and question what i was doing--in front of the customer. Um hello --I'm on the same team as you asshole do you maybe not want to be a dick to me in front of one of our customers? Then he demands a huge credit for the customer for one feature not working for a day. I couldnt validate the credit so he demands a supervisor. I don't know why he was trying so hard. I'm guessing to make up for the fact that his name was sheldon. Anyhow long story short--the manager stuck up for me. I really wish the customer had called on her own because i had no problem with her. Did i mention I'm happy the work week is almost over?

believe it or not

I have totally gotten sucked into a 30 year old tv series. When i was at Wegmans about a month ago with Rob i found a copy of season one of the greatest American hero. I loved the show as a kid and the dvd was only 5.99. I figured if it turned out the show sucks now than i was only spending 5:99. The show was about a school teacher who recieved a costume from some aliens. He fought crime with an fbi agent and a hot girlfriend. Watching it now? The effects are cheesy but i love the stories. I haven't seen any of the episodes since i was in grade 6. I liked it enough to go to the future shop and drop 12.99 on season 2. Still a really good price for a dvd box set. i'M curently watching season 2 and i can't wait for season 3 which is sadly the final season. Great series.

Cool out

Rob brought us over a mini fridge for the basement. For weeks we've been joking around about getting a fridge for the get your geek on studio and because we're such nerds we're going to get action figures of characters that can make ice and display them on top. You know characters like ice man and mr freeze and captain cold. We are such nerds. Loving the idea though. Can't wait to stock it with tasty beverages---Kath wants to get ice cube trays shaped like han solo frozen in carbonite. Love it.

Is this week over yet?

Ugh. We're only at wednesday and i'm ready for this work to be over. The calls at work have been brutal,i have a sore throat and my sleep schedule has sucked. I'm tired all the time. Oh well what are you gonna do. The only cool thing this week is that i get to spend my mornings and afternoons with Kath this week, She is on a schedule where she doesnt go in until 4;30. So thats been cool. We went with Rob to Pulp comics yesterday. That was pretty. Wow i seem to be rambling my ass off. Like i said no sleep.

The weekends go by so quick

Son of a .... Weekend is over already. Sunday was great--much like Saturday. Diana and i went to the flea market with Rob. We got Kath a glass from The Great Muppet Caper. It was the last one she needed so mission accomplished. My new goal is to find all the glasses from The empire Strikes Back. I used to have all 4 and now for some reason i have 3 Lando glasses? I think i lost some in one of my many moves. It sucks. I hope the shift bid goes my way or next week could e my last flea market trip for the next 3 months at least.

We put on another episode of Get Your Geek On Tonight and i though it went over great. Next week Kath has to work so Nickle has agreed to be my co host. Should be good. Nickle is a comic book reading machine. Now i just have to figure out what we are going to talk about.

I really don't wanna go in tomorrow but i know i have to. That weekend went by so fast. I can't believe its almost the end of September. Well i guess i should get some sleep. Kid has to get ready for school in 5 hours. Kath works nights this week so i get to spend time with her during the day at least. Goodnight all.

Another shift bid

I found out that in 2 weeks we are having yet another shift bid at work. They're gonna happen every 3 months. I pretty much hate that. My stats have improved a little bit so I'm hoping i can stay on the same late shift. It works out better for me--i can take Diana to school and pick her up and i get Sundays off to do the show. I'm gonna be so pissed if i get stuck with a shift i can't do but will have to do. The only thing that will suck is i will get a new manager no matter what happens. I pray its not the manager i had earlier this year. She never spoke to me in 2 months but failed me on multiple qualities. So it may be a win/lose situation. Fingers crossed it goes my way again.

Saturday off with the fam

Had an excellent day off with my wife and kid. Finally got to sleep in. Spent the afternoon watching a tv series we had downloaded called falling skies. It was a really excellent show about an alien invasion. We went out for a bit to check out the new halloween store and we also bought some propane. Exciting stuff huh kids? Had a nice barbeque with burgers an chicken and i even drank a whole beer. Yup I'm a party animal! Split up a few fights between our cats starlight and Merlin. Watched some more tv until Kath fell asleep and here we are. I'm catching up on blogs and working on tomorrow's exciting new episode of get your geek on. Exciting stuff.

Crazy news

Kath just informed me that Christmas is only 100 days away. Then a few minutes later i read that Billy Ray Cyrus is seriously growing his mullet back for the 20th anniversary of Achy Breaky Heart. Not sure which of the 2 seemed crazier to me. On that note I'm off to pick up my kid from school.

Too much sleep for the jay man

My crazy sleep schedule finally caught up with me. Diana woke me up this morning instead of the other way around. It was after 8 and we leave here at 8:25 so she can get to school on time. We made it in case you were wondering. i came home at 9 and intended to sleep for another 2 hours, I had stuff to do so didnt want to sleep in to long. I set my alarm and then slept--for almost 5 hours. Son of a ! So didn't get too much done. I picked Diana up at 3 and went to work at 4;30. Stupid sleep cycle

12 years with Kstew

September 11th is an awful day to remember because of what happened in 2001. However 2 years earlier on september 11th 1999 I met my soul mate. So Kath i just wanted to thank you for 12 years of good times. I'm glad we met-even though you were the one that introduced me to the music of Lou Bega--on the first date. It's been fun and i can't wait to see what the next 12 years and beyond will bring us.

Drive in goodness

Well it took awhile but we finally made it to the drive in this year. We usually go a few times a year but we couldnt decide on anything this past summer. That all changed tonight. So what movies made the drive in cut? The modern classics The smurfs and Spy Kids all The Time In The World. All joking aside they turned out to be a lot better than i expected and i laughed out loud a few times. Diana had a good time so that was really the main thing. See ya next year can view drive in.

Boy did i sleep

Man i did not sleep a lot this week. I work until one am and by the time i settle down i get to sleep around 3. U then wake up about 7;45 am to get Diana ready for school. After i drop her off sometimes i can go back to sleep and sometimes not so much. Yesterday i got a total of 4 hours sleep. I then ran errands with Kath in the afternoon and went back to work at 4 for the same cycle. Bless my wife and daughter today. They let me sleep in for 10 hours and got me a meatball sub while i was sleeping. So a big thanks to my family for allowing me the extra sleep. I feel like a million bucks now.

Grade one aka making Jay feel old

Howdy and welcome to September. It's been a good month so far. I know we've only had 6 days of september so far. So Diana started grade one yesterday. I seriously can't believe it. She's growing up way to fast. I know i'm going to blink and all of a sudden she'll be in high school. Where does the time go. Seriously. I guess Kath and i need to get on that plan of having a vampire bite her so she doesn't age anymore.
