The last day of April

Well here we are the last day of April. Sitting here enjoying a day off with Diana. So turns out Diana likes the old Spiderman cartoon. Kath came across it last night and stopped on it as the theme was playing. As soon as the familliar "spiderman spiderman does what ever a spider can" song was heard Diana was hyptnotized and just stopped what she was doing. Another super hero show she wants to watch. All i can say to that is--Proud!

So in work related news, turns out the energy drink fueled idiot hasnt quit yet. The good news is he is pretty close to getting fired. Also i learned yesterday that my former team manager is indeed coming back to our team next week. That totally rocks. She is really nice and somehow has the abillity to get me days off that other team managers can't. Last year i was told by two people i couldnt have the Saturday off to go to the comic book convention. I started asking for it off last May. In August i admit i was going to call in sick that day and go. However I got put on my cool managers team last August and within hours i had the day off. Man i would have been pissed if i missed seeing the Fonz. Man i can start looking forward to team meetings again as well. When she was our fearless leader we didnt even discuss work at our meetings. Usually the conversation was about what wacky shit she had done that week. It was great and always entertaining. Lately i have dreaded the meetings with the new guy. All work related with a lot of complaining and yelling. Good times.

Today I'm helping Diana organize her toys and she's really having a good time doing it. The living room was starting to look like a toys r us. Was upstairs for three hours and lost track of the time. Took her toy kitchen upstairs and immediately Hesh took over the empty spot on the floor. Was going to do a wagon ride but it started raining. Damn you rain! Damn you straight to hell! Made some english muffin pizzas. That one year of home ec has paid off! Diana helped put pepperoni on the. I swear the kid is going to grow up to be a chef. Also today i went down to the basement to add an action figure to a shelf and what did i find? A huge ass spider web complete with a dozen or so dead bees around it. Well happy to say that spiders reign of terror is over. Buh Bye spider!

Kath will be home soon. Going to the cool dollar store and Wallmart. We are getting a birthday present for my nephew, I can't believe he's 14 years old. Time flies. Well back to cleaning. I have tomorrow off as well and then one more day of work this week. Hope everyone is doing well. Talk to you soon

Jay

Jays in first-Hell must have frozen over

So last week I was channel surfing and i came across a Blue Jays game. I thought i would stop for a bit and see how they were doing. Now just to be clear i was a huge Jays fan from the 80's until a couple of seasons ago. I used to go to games. Kath and i went to at least 2 or 3 games a year and followed them on tv as well. Now i know you're suppossed to stick with your team through the good times and the bad and that every year can't be a world series win. I guess a couple of years ago i just got tired of watching them lose and just didnt follow it as much anymore. I think i tuned in for maybe 2 games last year. As a matter of fact i didnt even really know who was on the team anymore. Its not like i decided to follow another team or anything like that. I just stopped being interested in baseball. I also didnt watch the world series which is something i did every year no matter who made it. Anyhow i put the game on last week. First of all i realize its at least 15 games into the season. I was so out of touch. Then i notice how well they are playing. I started to get interested again. And that was before i heard of their winning record and the fact they were in first place. I actually watched the next four games. They actualy won all of them. So i think i will give the team another chance. They were my team for all those years. They are ahead of the Yankees so i would have that to rub in my father in laws face. And that makes me happy. Go Jays!

When Lord?-whens it gonna be May?

I wish April was over. There I said it. April was ok-much better than March. I can't wait for May though. So many cool things to look forward to. Diana turns 4 in May. We're going to see both sides of the famly to celebbrate her birthday. Kath also has a birthday in May. We're going to see our first summer blockbuster on May 3rd-Xmen Origins:Wolverine. I hope its good. I'll settle for it being better than x men 3 which to me ranks up there with that cinematic masterpiece Batman and Robin. Also hoping to see Star Trek with my mom on April 24th. I believe this will be the first star trek since that horrible one where william shatner went looking for God that i will see with my mom. Also in May- Free Comic book day and May 1st they start announcing celebrities for the comic book convention in August. May should be cool. SO hurry up April-you've worn out your welcome.

I managed to get through my long ass day of work and maintenance meeting. Found out we're going to be required to stain our ricketty fence. Oh joy. I did get one piece of good news today. That nerdy, hopped up on energy drink douche quit today. He is close to getting fired anyhow. So yay me i will only be annoyed by customers at work now. Anyhow watched the season-possible series finale of Chuck tonight. Good tv man. Well getting kinda sleepy, Rachel is messaging me now. Just telling her about the stupid meeting. Hopefully we will have more information about the cat tomorrow. Diana is really excited about it. No new insane customer stories to tell. Well see what tomorrow brings. Until then this is Mork calling Orson. Nanoo Nanoo.

Weekend Update

So had a pretty cool weekend. Worked yesterday and for a change there wasnt any crazy Saturday customers to report on. Don't get me wrong the customers still whined but nothing over the top like I'm used to. Still had to deal with the lights being turned off. This week instead of Mickey Mouse playing golf we were treated to the three Stooges. Again would have preferred to see my keyboard. What can ya do? After work we met up with Nicole and went across the river to get some groceries. We also hit a 7-11 over there. Guess what? Yet another Slurpee cup movie tie in started this week. Now we are getting Terminator four cups. We are so fancy.

Sunday is just a laid back day. Diana let me sleep in and that rocked. I really needed to catch up on sleep.Watched some cartoons. Yet two more super hero related cartoons appearred on the schedule this week. An old Superman/Superboy series from the late 60's that i remember watching as a kid and a Batman cartoon from the 70's that turns out is really horrible. I kind of remember the Batman cartoon. Adam West had come back to voice Batman. Wasnt as cool as i remember. THey had this little cute character named batmite who was from another dimension. Man who green lit that idea? Kath wanted to kill me for taping it but Diana loved it.

When Kath gets home we're setting up the barbeque. I love grilling. Can't wait. The weather is awesome and warm today. A great day to not be cooped up at work. On the cat front-yes we are going to take merlin. Not sure when this will occur. Diana says she will let him sleep on her bed. She won't even let Hesh sleep on her bed.

Looking forward--hope Monday goes fast. Have to work 10 hours followed by a maintenance meeting at our Co - op. At our residence you are required to be on a comittee. We werent really given a choice. One day we got a flyer stating i was on maintenance. To anyone that knows us this is funny. I suck at fixing things where Kath is awesome at it. I've been lucky up until now-between work and babysitter issues i've been able to get out of most of the meetings. I have no excuse tomorrow. I'll probably just sit there and nod my head a lot. Just want to get out of there and watch 24 with Kath. Anyhow thats about it. Hope everybody has a great weekend and I'll talk to you all soon.

Random Friday Thoughts

Hey there. I'm just enjoying a lovely day off. Later when Kath gets home we're going to get our propane tank refilled. Thats right its grilling season again! A whoo hoo. Yeah get in my belly grilled hamburgers!

What else is going on with the Stewarts? Well we are seriously thinking about getting another cat. A friend of ours has to get rid of her 5 year old cat Merlin. From what i understand he's really friendly and he's fixed. So we are pretty sure he would get along with Diana. My one concern about getting him is I'm wondering if it will be fair to my cat of 15 years Hesh. We used to have 2 cats. Barney was our other cat and he passed away 2 summers ago. Its not like Hesh hasnt been an only cat. I seiously thinking of leaning towards getting him. At some point I'd like a little dog as well. Diana keeps saying she doesnt like dogs. Maybe one day when she's older.

I will now address some comments recently made on the blog. Comments are always appreciated so keep 'em coming.

Nicole: I would love to come camping with you guys this summer. However I'm not sure if Kath would agree to sleeping outside in a tent and oh yeah I currently don't own a tent. Our last residence had a cruddy moldy basement which destroyed the tent i did own.

Kelsey: I may have jumped the gun a bit. While Dollhouse hasnt been offically cancelled it looks like its headed that way. It hasnt been renewed yet and fox has decided not to run the final episode that was filmed. Fox has a bad track record with canceling shows really quick. I for one would like to continue to watch eliza Dushku run around in little tank tops fighting crime.

Rach: Sorry i should have made it clear that you don't actually know the lesbians that pooped on each other.Rach told me about a video her nephew told her about in which two wacky lovebirds pooped and puked on each other in the name of love.

More drunken Jay flashbacks

A friend of mine jokingly posted on Facebook that we should go camping at Sherkston. Sherkston was a magical beach where in the early to mid 90's i would go with my friends. We would camp at least twice a summer there and it was great. Would I go back now? To quote Danny Glover from the Lethal Weapon series- I'm too old for this shit. If Andrea is reading this one I know she'll back me up there. It was a lot of drinking morning noon and night. We would get up and just start drinking beer. We wouldnt bring much in the way of food either. Hot dogs. The end. We wouldnt get much sleep either. Usually there was another camper blasting Guns and Roses or Metallica. This would go on into all hours of the night. Then you would wake up with a wicked bad hangover and start the day again. Some highlights i can remember off the top of my head

1) My friend Dennis in the middle of the night going for a swim in the middle of the lake-fully dressed including a leather jacket. Then coming back to shore and getting in his bathing suit.

2) some metal head guy who kept calling us "brother." At one point he was sitting in a tree chopping up firewood. Another time he was chopping up a picnic table.

3) My friend Colin standing in the campfire with no shoes on. He had 4 cases of beer that weekend maybe all in one day.

4) Almost driving a golf cart into a tree. Good times

5)John so hung over he stayed in his tent all day only to emerge at night while playing the guitar.

6) the cool Bon Jovi cover band that played on the beach. Really is there anything cool about a Bon Jovi cover band? We watched on a sand hill overlooking the beach. I passed out and woke up a few hours later with a burn and a round beer cup mark on my stomach.

Yeah drawing a blank on the rest. Like i said there was a lot of drinking involved. Don't get me wrong those were fun times but i don't think i could handle partying like that again at my age.Now i would probably drink one beer and go sleep in the tent all day. I would however like to finally go camping with my family somewhere quiet. I've been wanting to camp with Kath since we met but for some reason havent gone yet. I think Diana would have a lot of fun. Oh yes some day we will camp. Oh yes.

No more tv for the Jaymeister

So i watch way too much tv. I admit I do love the tv. I think someone up there wants me to cut down on my tv watching. Usually at the end of the tv season a show or two that i watch will get cancelled. It's normal. This season is a different story. I would say about three quarters of my shows arent coming back next year. These shows are Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Trailer Park Boys, Life On Mars, Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles, Reaper, Dollhouse, Scrubs, King Of The Hill, My Own Worst Enemy, Pushing Dasies and Better off Ted. Now there's rumours that Chuck and My Name is Earl may be cancelled as well. This will pretty much leave me with 24, Lost and heroes. It was announced awhile back that next season is Losts last,i hear this week that 24 will probably be done next year as well. Heroes was lucky to get renewed for one more year. So maybe next year i will be reading a lot of books. Or i could get into Reality television. Nah I'd rather put a gun in my mouth or read the Twilight books.

Going blind and being told what to do with a penis--just another day at the office

So you all know i hate Saturdays-or more specifically working on a saturday. Yesterday was one of those horrible shifts. Big surprise. I can't remember the last Saturday that was cool. Lets put it this way. Jenniffer Love Hewitt could be sitting next to me-topless- giving me free pizza and comics and i would still have a lousy saturday. Anyhow the day actually started off nice. I was in a row with about 4 or 5 cool people who i could talk to. The day started off slow. I got to read a few comics and joke with the other reps. Then around noon almost all the lights go out in the place. I'm thinking cool-maybe the computers will go out also. Sorry to report it wasnt a power outtage. It was our managers turning out the lights. Why you may ask? So they could set up a big screen and play cartoons of Mickey Mouse playing golf all day. So that meant no more reading and i couldnt even see my keyboard. The nice glow from the monitor gave me a headache. Hey if youre gonna make me blind at least play Die Hard or The Dark Knight. Then it got busy. THe customers i started to get could be best described as slow and sleeping with their cousins. As usual i have a highlight. A lady was mad because she had paid her first bill with the exception of five dollars. Not really a big deal and she had until may to pay the five dollars. Well apparently it was a big thing and soon she had her boyfriend on the phone screaming at me. I explained the bill was a bit higher than what they paid but all they had left to pay was five dollars. Here's a bit of the conversation that followed

"well obviously you cant explain the bill so get me a supervisor"
"i appologize sir but you didnt pay enough there is still a five dollar balance i'm not sure what else you want me to say"
"we're done because you cant explain where this five dollar charge is coming from"
"i did explain where its coming from-several times"
"you dont know how to do your job so supervisor now!"
"ok but not sure why you need a supervisor for this"
"are you refusing me a supervisor?"
"no sir but.."
"we're done motherfucker"
"ok look there's no reason to get rude sir"
"fuck you"
"ok then i am warning you if you swear at me one more time i will be forced to end this call"
"is this call being recorded?"
"i sure hope so"
"good then go suck a dick."

With that he ended the call instead of letting me enjoy hitting the hang up button. Oh but the story does get better. He called back and got a 2nd employee and then a manager. He has the nerve to tell the manager that i was rude too him and then says he liked the 2nd rep better because he at least had a sense of humour. I'm sorry but what was even remotely funny about our conversation? Oh wait i guess when Chevy Chase told me to suck a dick that was comedy at its finest. Wow then i guess i'm in the wrong here and i really don't have a sense of humour. My bad.

Anyhow I'm off today even if Kath is not. Hanging out with Diana and we have a plethora of super hero cartoons to watch today. Just taking it easy before i get barraged with a ton of awesome calls from genius customers. The next three days are going to take forrever to get through. Oh well I can do it. As long as i font have to watch any more pluto cartoons in the dark. Well until the Ghost Whisperer actually does show up topless to my work with a stack of comics i guess i am stuck there. Well friends o'Jay-have an awesome Sunday and stay in touch.

Slurpee cup season! Alright. Giggitty Giggitty!

Well its day one of my two days off-and not a moment to soon. I was seriously on the verge of maybe taking a flight to Northern Virginia and committing murder. Every last customer yesterday was whining so bad i almost screamed. One guy whined for half an hour straight that we were cutting off his servous every month. Finally i just said "maybe you should think about paying your bill on time every month." Sure hope my manager didnt mark me on that one. I tell ya 6:30 didnt come fast enough. Kath came home around 10:00 and shortly after that Nicole and Rob came by for a visit. They just got back from a trip to Ireland. They gave us some souvenirs and talked about their trip. I forgot to ask Rob how many episodes of Stargate Atlantis he got through on the plane. He said he was taking all five seasons with him. Anyhow it was cool visiting with them. Nicole wants to read the "novel" i wrote. If she doesnt mind pages and pages of drunken in jokes than she is welcome to it. Rob if you are reading this we will have that Stargate Universe party oh yes we will.

This brings us to today. Started the day off right--with Slurpees. Its almost summer blockbuster movie time so that means 7-11 is having a slurpee cup tie in of some sort. For some reason Kath and i always have to get a whole set-twice. I guess if we ever have a dinner party we can break out the good Iron man or superman returns cups. This years tie in? Wolverine. Yep nothing like getting brain freeze drinking out of a Hugh Jackman cup. Made a trip to the ol comic book store as well. Bought some books for Diana and I. Kath then went to work which meant it was wagon ride time. While returning from our wagon adventure we ran into our good friends John and Rach. We went to their place and hung out for a couple of hours. Diana played with their daughter Becca. Another of our friends,Becky showed up as well. Rach told me some disturbing stories about lesbians who enjoy pooping on each other. Ain't love grand? THen Diana and I went to the grocery store to pick up more ice cream. Why am i overweight? John came with us as well. Kath came home around 10 and we went to the superstore, We bought Diana a Batman easter package that was marked down. It came with a really soft Batman pillow and a Batman wastepaper basket, Oh and candy that Diana immediately wanted to eat. Watched some comedies and then hit the hay. I have another day off tomorrow. This means another day that i dont think about committing murder!

"Sam there's a 90 percent chance that you've travelled back in time to explain a cable bill to a slow redneck"

My Favorite customer quote today:
A customer got a 12 month discounted plan today that will last from april 2009 to april 2010. He wanted me to backdate it to last January when his last 12 month plan expired. To which i replied

"i'm sorry sir but I can't go back in time and add this plan to your January bill"
"Find me someone who can!"

Pardon my stupidity but i don't think Time travel has been invented yet. Sure customer I will get you over to Doc Brown and Marty McFly for a ride in their Deloreon. Or on line 2 i have Sam Beckett and his quantum Leap accelerator. Moron

Burning Cars and Petty Shows

Howdy folks. Its the exciting start of a new week! I found out the other day that another long time friend of mine has been following my blog. I'm gonna give a shout out to my friend Andrea. We actually met in 1988 through my friend Scott. I remember it was at the Pen Centre and i think she was wearing an Indiana Jones hat at the time. I could be wrong. Anyhow as usual at work random memories pop into my brain. The other day i remembered a Tom Petty concert i had attended with Andrea and some other friends in 1991. It was the Into The Great Wide Open tour. Great show. For some reason there was a gigantic fake tree in the middle of the stage and at times Tom Petty would climb a ladder and go into the tree. So anyhow at the end of the night we were standing outside the venue and wanted to see if we could meet Tom Petty. The only thing we saw was his roadies yelling at hookers. Then we got the bright idea (and keep in mind we hadnt been drinking) to go wait in the dark alley beside the door that Tom Petty might come out of. Yes that was a real wise move, hiding in a dark Toronto alleyway. Not only did we risk geting mugged by some crazy Torontonian but how would it have looked if four or five kids jumped out of an alleyway at Tom Petty? Well we called off that plan and alas never got to meet Tom Petty.

Another Andrea memory i was thinking about was a time when she had driven Myself my Friend Colin and a crazy guy named Tim to the Grimsby truckstop. We must not have had a lot of responsibillity because we were constantly driving to out of the way places in the middle of the night. So we were sitting at a table enjoying our meal at the truckstop when we heard an announcement that a car was on fire in the parking lot. From the description it turned out to be Andrea's car. Colin grabbed a fire extinguisher and much like Kurt Russell in backdraft put out the fire. Andrea's dad and step mom showed up to pick us up and her dad actually drove her car home. I remember thinking he was either brave ir really crazy for driving it and kept waiting for it to burst into flames again.

Anyhow after all these years Andrea remains one of my best friends and i am happy we keep in touch.Unfortunately because of our work schedules and such we don't get to much of a chance to hang out anymore. We usually get together to go to a movie. The last time we saw her was when we saw Indiana Jones last summer. Hoping to catch Star Trek and Wolverine with her. Anyhow Andrea if you are reading this thanks for being my friend for the last 21 years. Let me raise a glass of pop to you! By the way as stated on an earlier post she was there on the famous New Years eve where we trashed a hotel room. I found another lovely pic from that night. Andrea is the one on the left and again enjoy my early 90's mullet!

Carrot Cake Doesnt suck!

Hey there. Well had a pretty good Easter. Woke up in time to watch Diana search for Easter Eggs. I hid them last night when i was half asleep. Oh there's a new edition to Batman team up/Spiderman cartoon Sundays. There is also an iron Man cartoon now as well. Yee ha. I'm not a nerd at all!
Went to my moms house for dinner. Made a pretty good discovery as well. Carrot cake doesnt taste like carrots! Kath made a carrot cake so i decided i would try it. Holy crap carrot cake is awesome! How many times can i use carrot cake in one blog? Ok I gotta get some sleep. I have a long day of getting yelled at ahead of me. Hope everyone had a happy easter!

The Alchoholic Adventures Of the Three Amigos

A lot of you don't realize this but I'm an author. As a matter of fact its the 20th anniversary of the novel i co wrote. Now you may be asking yourself was this novel ever published? The answer: no. In 1988-1989 Myself and my friends Colin and Scott decided we would chronicle our adventures. Our adventures of course back then consisted of drunken weekends out. Yes any time we went out and drank we would write a chapter about it. Where did we type up the novel? Why in our high school's computer room of course. I gotta be honest if anybody tried to read the thing they wouldnt get a lot of it. There is a lot of "in jokes." Yes 50 pages of in jokes about drinking, strip clubs and even an Eddie Money concert. We titled the thing "The Alchoholic Adventures Of The Three Amigos". Every couple of years i dust off the thing and re read it. It still makes me smile 20 years later. One memorable chapter recalls how one of the preppy kids wanted to be in our novel. We told him he couldnt be unless he drank with us. His reply? Ok I've never gotten drunks with skids before. We didnt take too kindly to being called skids. Colin decided if we were skids than we must be drug users as well. So we decided we would smoke a joint with this sockless kid who dared to call us skids. The thing was-we didnt do drugs. Colin poured some oregano into a bag and rolled it up with rolling papers. THe funny thing was? The kid swore to everyone he was stoned. Alrighty then. I can't believe i drank so much back in those days. It was crazy. At least i have a book to remember those times.

A conversation with a nut bar

So today i spoke with a customer who gave me one of the craziest conversations of all time. He rambled on for 15 minutes just randomly saying whatever came to his mind i guess. I wasnt able to actually bring up his account and what i was able to determine was he was mad that his sister wasnt able to ever get through to his phone. He was able to recieve calls from everone else in the world and could call anybody. He was told by a tech that problem was probably with his sisters phone not his. He disagreed with that, Anyhow here are some random quotes from the call

"my sister is important she hangs out with the multi millionaires"
"someday i will drive my deloreon to New York"
"i told my sister to call me if my dad dies. I'm going to shit and piss on his grave"
"my sister couldnt reach me so she had a policeman come to my house. I was mad because i missed out on a meeting with my pistol trainer"
"my pistol trainer says i should sue you guys"
Then he asked for a huge credit because his sister's phone could never reach him. I told him i wasnt applying a credit for a problem that was clearly with sisters phone. To this he replied:

"Then i will hire a 400 dollar an hour big shot lawyer to sue the pants off you guys. My sister needs to get through to me"
Just then his call waiting was ringing
"Thats my sister now"
Hmm apparently by some miricle she can get through to his phone now.
"anyhow i gotta go so tell your bosses I'm going to sue you"
By this time i want to check out the guys account and note everything.
"sir i need to note your account that youre going to sue us,i need your phone number"
"look it up in the book" I don't have a book and even if i did i have no idea who I'm speaking with. Then he hangs up. He was probably going to jump in his deloreon with his pistol trainer and Doc Brown and find some nice grave to urinate on. I love my job!

Amigos Forrever!

<
It was a horrible day. I went to work in the rain and came home in the snow. A customer held me up on the phone at lunch. A customer held me up when i wanted to come home as well. None of that matterred when i checked my e mail. I got some awesome news. My friend Scott (who you may recall as one of the Amigos) wrote to me and let me know he's coming to Canada this summer. I'm pretty happy with this news. I havent seen him in 10 years. I felt myself tearing up a little (in a good way) when i saw he would be visiting. He's ne of my best friends. Since he was last here i got married and had a kid and he and his wife have had 3 daughters. Finally he gets to meet my family and vice versa. Wow ten years is a long time. I was starting to worry that I'd never see him again. I can't wait for summer. Long live the Amigo's! Also please enjoy a picture of my mullet from 1993.

Diana is seriously my hero

Why is my daughter my hero? At 4 years old she is obviously a braver person than me. The other night we were headed to my mom's house. Diana fell asleep. We made a stop, she woke up and the poor kid coughed and threw up everywhere. The brave thing? She didnt cry. Not once. I have to admit-to this day when i throw up-even at age 39-i cry a little when i throw up. Its the worst feeling in the world. Part of the reason i don't drink anymore is i can't handle the hangovers. The throwing up part was too high a price to pay for a night out drinking with the gang. SO turns out Diana has a bit of a cold. She's been really cool taking her medecine and getting rest. She totally rocks!

Why Didnt you just put the bunny back in the box?

Hey just thought I'd blog a bit more today. By the way it's my 50th blog of 2009! Ah Whoo hoo! This time I want to thank Nicholas Cage. Why am i thanking good ol' Nic? Well earlier i mentioned the film Con Air. This film came out in 1997. At the time i had cut my hair really short to impress a girl i had a crush on. She said she thought i would look good if i cut my hair short. The bad news was it didnt get me the girl. The good thing was i got rid of a mullet i had at the time. Back then there was no technical term for mullet but yes it was short in front and long in back. Anyhow what does this have to do with Con Air? Well that summer i went and sat the movie. Not only did i become a huge Nicholas Cage fan but because he had long hair in the movie-I vowed i would grow my hair out. And Grow it i did-all one length. It's been pissing my mother off ever since. I remember her one time saying why don't you cut it short, you'll never get a girlfriend with long hair. The thing was-i never had a problem getting a date with long hair. I never once had a steady girlfriend with short hair. Kath never had a problem with it either when we met. SO i say thank you Nic Cage for a kick ass movie and for giving me the courage to grow out my hair. Bravo Nic!

In the End, Wagon Rides make it all better

Good day and welcome to April.I gotta admit March ended kind of shitty. Our dvd player died last week. Hoping to find a new cheap player. We do have a dvd player in our computer though. If i really wanted to i could go to the basement where we have a vcr set up. I have been hankering to watch either The Last Boy Scout or Con Air. Also sucking since last week-one side of my mouth is killing me. I have a wisdom tooth that actually came in about 10 years ago. I wasnt covered at the time so couldnt afford to get it out. It never really hurt so i never worried about it. However once and a while i will get a piece of popcorn or something logged into my gum behind the wisdom tooth. It takes forrever to get it out. This time i just have not been able to get whatever is in there out. I have actually been debating about finally getting the tooth out.

Now the moment i know you've all been looking forward to-stuff about work that has pissed me off. First of all because it has been so dead we have all been forced to take hour lunches. I know that doesnt seem like a big deal but in two weeks i have so far lost 3 hours of pay because of that.

Also i snapped at a co worker. He's this young, know it all nerdy kid who is hopped up on energy drink and never shuts up. I try and ignore him but he seriously never stops talking-ever. So I'm on the phone with a customer who is just screaming her head off in my ear. Her room mate has added her name to an account and because of that we won't let her get a new account in her name. She cant even get access to this account because she doesnt have her room mates information. She wants to complain to a supervisor. I advise nicely maybe she should speak to her room mate as her room mate added her name to the account. So after yelling at me for a good fifteen minutes she hangs up. Then i notice the know it all kid is standing right behind me and he picks an arguement with me saying I'm wrong. Not a good move junior. I'm already in a bad mood about the call not a good time to dump salt in the wound. He starts yelling at me saying that the room mate isnt responsible for anything owed on the account and I'm wrong, blah blah blah. My friend Anna starts telling the kid that I'm right and he's wrong. End of discussion right? Wrong. Nerdy Macgee decides to go to a supervisor about this. What the hell. First of all this wasnt the kid's call and it really isnt any of his business. He comes back and starts yelling told you I'm right! I have no idea what he told the supervisor but i've been there seven years now i think i know about our companies policies. I didnt feel like dealing with it anymore so i just told the nerd to drop it. I go back to the next call and i still hear him talking about it. Whatever. Anna tells me he drinks so much energy drink that he might as well be on cocaine. Oh well.

Anyhow sorry to ramble on this time. I am off today and in kind of a good mood. The weather has been so nice lately that i have been taking Diana on wagon rides. Its good exercise and cheers me up. It makes me smile when she starts yelling yahoo! like a mini Bo Duke. She wont say yee haw though. So we're going to head out soon and then maybe we will walk over to the grocery store for some ice cream. Kath is off work tomorrow so we get to spend the whole day off together. I think we are going to go to my mom's house.
