Con day 2!!

Good day and welcome to  day 2 of our Niagara Falls comic con coverage. Saturday was fun but crowded. We had a better time on Sunday. It wasn't as busy and we were able to move about freely. We decided to do all our work when we got there at 11. Let me walk you through our interviews.

Interview  # 1 was with a fellow geek journalist we had met at Pulp Comics on Free Comic Book day. Her name was Steph and she runs her own geek web site called the Geek Chic Elite or GCE for short. We thought she was really cool when we met her and we had set up an interview with her that day. At the con she was really nice and we got to go into her booth to interview her. It was really great. Kath and i felt a kindred spirit with her. She also makes her own geek themed soaps including an awesome Han Solo in carbon Freeze, We bought some soap and pins from her.

Interview #2 was with  a very important organization called Cosplay for A cure. They raise money for cancer research by taking donations. When you make donations you can have your pic taken with one of their cos players. We had our pic taken with Jubillee and Wonder Girl. Its a fantastic group and if you see these people at a future convention please contribute.

That brings us to Interview #3. We actually knew the guy doing the photos for Cosplay For A cure. His name  is Rob and  he worked with me at my hellish job for about 9 years out of my 12. Great guy. He runs  his own photography company called Rebel Shotz  photography. I used to have awesome conversations with him at work about old tv shows and sci fi movies. We'd been enjoying his photos on facebook. He is really talented. Then we found out he was going to be helping out at the con and asked him for an interview. We had a great time catching up with Rob.
Our next two interviews were with 2 of our good friends---Artist extraordinaire and partner to  us on the podcast John Bulmer and Kristen Hunter who was there selling her geek themed Jewelry.  They were great as usual.

We also got to interview a couple of local guys that started their own local comic book company called Poor man Comics. Here's the cool thing. As soon as i mentioned who we were they knoew who we were! They were actually following us on twitter!  Small world. That's actually something else i wanted to mention. We've had the podcast in existence for 4 months and  this was the 4th  event we have covered. People from past events  were coming up to us and saying hi! Different artists and people like us were shaking hands with us and thanking us for interviews and what not. Kath and i really felt appreciated and part of a community. Again were getting this great feedback and friendship after 4 months. Makes me feel like were doing something right. It felt good. More people are checking us out-- a lot more than with the old show that's for sure. I feel kind of proud.

All in all our con experience was great. We had a fantastic time and we're already  looking forward to next year.
