Man what a shitty day in regards to technology. This morning i accidently clicked on something and all of a sudden we had a new virus protection plan. As soon as i did this it refused to let me look at my emails or burn dvd's or anything. I could kind of get on the internet but every 10 seconds what get an annoying big box on the screen stating there were virusws galore. It was very frustrating as i use the email function to communicate with Kath during the day when she is at work. Anyhow Kath is the smart one in the family so when she got home she was able to fix the situation.
Anyhow just a few minutes ago i was watching a movie i had recorded on our dvd. Kath had fallen asleep so i was gonna watch a bit of tv before bed. All of a sudden our dvr started going nuts and saying it was doing a download. Then the tv shut off and came back on. Then the dvr said we didnt have service. It just came back on with no information on any of the channels. Maybe that crazy guy i talked to last year wasnt so crazy. Maybe the future as portrayed in the terminator movies is gonna come true. Nah I just need some sleep.

Our Sunday from hell
What a shitty day. It started off with a flat tire. Kath couldnt go into work. Later in the day a neighbour of ours Gary brought over an air compressor which pumped it up enough for us to get to a gas station. We bought a can of tire sealant which seemed to do the job. Kath missed work but is sure she can pick up extra hours.
Anyhow now we could do the show. Or so we thought. Someone just didnt want us doing a show this week. Rob and Matt were away on train rek radio business so I've been getting trained on how to produce. On top of that we had a guest drop out on us and Kath forgot her comics at work. We review comics on every show. With the flat we didnt know what we were going to do. Anyhow we got a new guest, We had back up comics and the tire got patched up. I thought i knew what i was doing when it came to producing. We got there, I set up everything thr way i was told and then Kath asked a simple question that i didnt have an answer for. The question was "how do we hear the show in the headphones?" Well i didnt have a clue. We must have fiddled with the board for an hour. Finally we got music coming through the headphones. I couldnt hear me but Kath could hear a distorted me. The screen that was suppossed to record the show wasnt recording anything. My friends who were listening said all they could hear was static. It was awesome. After an hour i said screw it and gave up. After all the crap we went through that week to get the show on the air and a technical difficulty took us out of the game. I was pissed.
So not a great day. Hoping the tire holds up until at least friday when we can buy a new one. I have the next five days off so i should be able to relax a little.

Friday
Day 2 of watching Rob's sons. I have to admit they have been pretty good. They're really nice to Diana and my cats so they are alright in my book.
Man i must have really needed sleep because i slept till noon today. Diana slept in as well. What a miserable day outside. Its pouring rain.
I'm happy i'm not at work. I seriously had a headache that didnt let up for 2 days this week.
Had a couple guys do an energy audit at our home yesterday. Had to check the furnace and stuff. Yeah wasnt impressed. The one guy opened the door by putting his hand through the screen. Wtf? How do you open a door like that? I asked Diana how do you open a door? She said with a door knob. So congragulations jack ass energy guys. My 5 year old daughter knows how to open a door and you don't. Assholes.
Anyhow i gotta get my ass in gear and try and come up with some story ideas on Sunday. Kath is home with me tomorrow so we may watch a bunch of movies. I'll blog again later.

tid bits
Oh yeah! Off for the next 9 days!! A whoo hoo. If all goes well i may be seeing Crowded House on the 16th. God i love the 80's.
Its been a hot week and at 8:40 in the morning its already hotter than hell out there today as well.
We're watching Rob's sons Anthony and Connor for the next 5 days. Should be interesting.
I think we had an inspection yesterday. Sure wish i knew the results of it. I'm not to worried i guess.
Just re read the 2005 young Avengers mini series. Forgot how much i loved it. I don't know why i didnt buy the follow up mini series but now i have something to look for at fan expo in August.
Work really blew this week. I had one rude lady keep screaming hellloooooo in my ear over and over again. She sounded like Biff Tannen from Back to the future. At one point i thanked her for the Back to the future im pression. Yeah the heat plus hunger for lunch got to me.
Thats about it for now. I'm gonna go lay on the couch now. Have a great day

happy birthday Huey Lewis
Almost forgot to wish a very happy birthday to one of my all time favorite singers Huey Lewis. Thanks for all the great tunes man. May you continue to keep the heart of rock and roll beating. Oh and thanks for singing Cruisin cause that became my song with Kath! You rock! Oh and coincedently its also the 25th anniversay of Back to The Future. Time flies. I am old.

Holy crap what a difference a couple of days makes. Saturday was super crazy beyong busy at work. Today i think i took 20 calls in 8 hours. Why 8 hours instead of 10? I hot sent home 2 hours early because it was so dead. Oh well, Funny thing is I'm not even upset. I'm glad I'm home. I'm even going to be on Rob's show in a couple of hours. We had unit inspections today. I think our place looked good. I guess I'll have to wait for the outcome. I'm really liking the new landlady Christina. She's really nice and doesnt try and intimidate us like the last one did. I'm sure the inspection was fine. Had to hop our back gate at lunch. I didnt have my key and of course after the inspection our door got locked. Yeah I'm not young anymore so that'll be the last time i ever climb a fence. Scouts honor. Had a great time at Rob's birthday party at Queenston Heights. Had pizza and cup cakes. Diana had a great time playing in the sp[lash pad thats set up there. Capped the evening off with another get your geek on. Nexy weel I'm producing the show on my own. I'm a bit nervouss but I think I'll be ok. Anyhow that's all i got. Have a great day gang!
